The FIS Platform team's vision is to enable developers to access a full suite of financial capabilities and build their own applications through low and no-code experiences. Our team is seeking a Design Program Manager to drive the evolution of banking experiences for millions of consumers. This role within our newly established multidisciplinary design group will shape our design culture and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional leaders to ensure the successful launch of high-quality products for our clients and their customers. Additionally, nurturing the growth and development of your team members will be integral to your role, as you collaborate closely with each individual to unlock their full potential.

What you will be doing:

As a Design Program Manager, you'll be at the forefront of guiding and leading design teams and programs to success. Here's what you'll own and drive:

Leadership and Management:Lead and guide teams/programs, ensuring comprehensive solutions for defined problems with oversight as needed - Design+ and XFN often lean on their leadership and ability to successfully guide effortsDrive small to medium design+ teams to lead new programs or initiatives for a focus area within an organization, managing workflows with teams to execute broader projects and escalating and communicating issues cross-functionallyProactively identify opportunities and risks, forging a path forward to increase team effectivenessDeliver high-quality systems and programs that are work multipliers, amplifying the productivity of the teamCollaboration and Communication:

Build trust and establish strong relationships with cross-functional partners including executives, product managers, engineers and other functional leaders to align on priorities and drive collaborationAct as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management teams, ensuring interdependencies are understood and planned forAnticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance customer needs versus business goals and technical constraintsEnable creative solutions by leveraging design acumen, high judgment, and knowledge of business and customer experience best practicesPromote transparency, visibility, and community among the teamAdvocate for the needs of the design team to ensure alignment and support from stakeholdersCulture and Team Building:

Influence culture by fostering inclusivity, organizing team bonding activities, and hosting retrospectivesUnderstand staffing gaps on teams, identify experience levels, and partner with management to address themParticipate in recruiting activities including talent identification, interviewing, selling, and improving the hiring processChange management:

Navigate and manage change effectively within the team and XFN partners, overseeing smooth transitions and minimal disruption to ongoing projects and operationsActively seek feedback from the team on process, tooling and workflow to drive continuous improvementsAttributes:

Thrives in ambiguity, proactive, organized, excellent time management, accessible, approachable, well known as the program lead across XFN

What you will need:

Over 7 years of experience leading and expanding high-performance design teams, overseeing both individual contributors and managersCapable of concurrently managing multiple projects while effectively influencing diverse audiences and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships to align design efforts with broader business goalsComfortable navigating ambiguous situations, employing rigorous design thinking and operational frameworks to address complex challengesExceptional communication abilities, adept at conveying ideas effectively in various settings, from small group discussions to executive presentationsProficient in inspiring and guiding design teams by providing them with crucial business insights, feedback, and directionBring a balanced approach and sound decision-making to strategic conversations, advocating for both user needs and business objectives within your teams and across peersThrives in a fast-paced environment and is flexible and agile.Bonus - Experience in working with product design (especially design systems), but seasoned program managers are welcome to apply as well.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $98,090.00 - $164,800.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
