Job Summary

Under general supervision, this in office position is responsible for creating graphics to meet specific marketing needs of Parker Arts (Cultural Department), creating visual concepts, designing all marketing collateral, and delegating projects to support staff.

A typical work schedule for this position is in office Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.

Designs and coordinates production of marketing collateral for all divisions of the Department including season brochures, posters, print and digital ads, banners, membership/sponsorship materials, education materials, wedding/meeting collateral, volunteer/outreach materials and production tech packs.Works within brand guidelines and adheres to graphic, website, and logo standards and polices for compliance; creates effective, high-end visual design concepts and finished printed and electronic artwork; prepares job specifications by determining proper format, selecting typefaces, sizes, colors, paper, pages, and the like; selects, sizes, and crops photographs for various design projects and the website.Assists with conceptualizing the look and feel for each presented season and translates to annual season brochure and event deliverables; manages printing and mailing of annual season brochure and direct mail pieces, which includes writing detailed scopes of work, securing and evaluating bids/proposals, awarding jobs, and coordinating final production/mailing with printers.Maintains and updates all website imagery and content; provides creative assets for the Town's website, reports and publications, social media, and outsourced design work; coordinates the trafficking of ads to local media, and assists with some photography, videography, and/or video editing when needed.Collaborates with print vendors and freelance designers by utilizing knowledge of the printing process and provides feedback necessary to get impactful results.Oversees the design and execution of email blasts and website visual content using various content management systems; provides updated social media content and assists with internal communication efforts; manages and maintains the photo library.Manages design project workload and assesses if projects need to be assigned to freelance support to meet deadlines; oversees projects that are assigned to the freelance team and provides art direction and approvals.Reviews paid media plan for required creative deadlines and ensures ads are completed, routed for approval, and delivered on time; assists in the trafficking of ads to meet deadlines.Assists with implementation of the annual marketing/media plan to include maintaining project tracking spreadsheets and marketing calendars.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.

Requires one (1) year experience in graphic design, marketing, advertising, copywriting, communications, or a related field.

A bachelor's degree in design is preferred.

Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver's License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated; safe driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving history.

EnvironmentWork is frequently performed in a climate-controlled office environment and a public assembly facility, but employees holding this position may be required to work outside or drive in varying temperatures and conditions. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate with occasional vibrations. The employee may occasionally work in wet/humid conditions or hot/cold conditions.
