The Global Industry Marketing team is looking for a creative product marketing and communication professional with passion, and attention to detail to lead product marketing for the Retail business. The Director, Retail Product Marketing will work across the organization together with a passionate group of Retail leaders and stakeholders. They will connect with customers and partners, to grow our business by meeting the needs of the market and our customers. The person will be focused on driving differentiated messaging, creating marketing and sales enablement content, and go-to-market strategy for the portfolio of solutions for this industry. Responsibilities

• Work in close partnership with stakeholders across Marketing, Engineering, Sales and Partners to develop compelling value propositions and creative ways to effectively communicate them. Deliver our story directly, and via spokespeople, to engage customers and influentials.

• Work with our team to develop partnerships and orchestrate efforts to lead and deliver differentiated customer value and company growth

• Contribute to the Retail business plan to articulate market opportunity, landscape and Microsoft differentiators that inform the overall GTM strategy and the always-on marketing plan.

• Create and land sales enablement and marketing content while ensuring execution across all channels (online, at events, and via sales teams and partners).

• Develop relationships and establish excellence in marketing planning and execution with priority partners where we have significant co-investment and co-development, ensure return on investment for company.

• Develop compelling claims that showcase winning customer experiences and turn into industry thought leadership

• Work with teams across Microsoft to develop programs, offers, and campaigns to execute Retail strategy.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business

OR equivalent experience.

2+ year of experience working in the retail industry

Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging trends in the retail industry

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years marketing or sales experience

OR equivalent experience.

Proven track record for growing new businesses and building solid cross-company relationships with multi-disciplined stakeholders and executives.

Leadership skills and community building thrive working across highly matrixed organizational boundaries with ability to influence decision makers

Results-driven self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.

Ability to work independently in ambiguous and changing environments, along with listening and partnering skills.

Highly skilled in presenting insights in a concise, effective and influential manner to a variety of audiences, including executives, customers, media and industry analysts on a regular basis.

Track record for building and landing audience-minded content that drives desired outcomes via modern mediums.

Ability to deeply assess the competition and drive perception-shifting efforts that differentiate Microsoft in credible, compelling ways

Product Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
