Our corporate values guide us uncompromisingly to always do the right thing, continually learn and improve, respect everyone and lead with service and humility.Overview of RoleThe Designer II role will focus on designing new products as part of a product development team at our Technology Development Center located at our St. Louis, Missouri headquarters. You will manage your own activities and take accountability for completing routine tasks that are part of the product design process. As part of the team, you will be relied on to have a significant understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. You will work directly with product and manufacturing engineers and will report directly to an Engineering Manager.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:Interpreting customer requirements, defining design specifications and preparing documentation packages for our manufacturing teamsCreating and revising documentation in support of product and process design and developmentWorking with a team to develop innovative solutions to customer requirementsCreating part and assembly drawings for new and existing productsInterpreting customer provided drawings and CAD models and preparing CAD drawings for new parts and assemblies based on the instructions of othersComponent design, research, and verification of form, fit and functionImplementing engineering changes including layout revisions, BOM (Bill of Material) updates, and drawing/design updatesAssisting in manufacturability of new products

Qualifications:Two-year degree or high-school graduate and related experience (3-5 years)Demonstrated proficiency in Stack up analysis for sub-assemblies.Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD

Creating models and assemblies, familiarity with the Configuration manager for parts and assembliesCreating sheet metal parts and drawings with proper Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and weld cut lists or BOMsCreating and editing part and drawing templatesFamiliarity with the Properties Manager and how to use itFamiliarity with PDMWorks Enterprise is preferred
