The Segment Marketing Manager (Music Education dept) is based in our Buena Park, California office and is a hybrid schedule.

Purpose of Role

Segment Marketing engages and advocates for key customer verticals across the entire Yamaha enterprise, establishing our connection to - and authenticity in - their community.

Key Accountabilities Include

• Executes segment marketing activities which contribute to IMG strategic objectives.• Integrate product marketing objectives into segment marketing strategies to amplify their effect in the vertical community.• Ensures that the segment budget aligns with YCA’s priorities and highest impact activities.• Creates strategies to acquire and nurture segment customers through the customer journey.• Develops segment-specific go-to-market strategies to create demand and preference for Yamaha products and services.• Ensures Yamaha portfolio is represented to customers in a contextually appropriate way.• Ensures alignment between strategies for product marketing, sales, and artist relations into the segment.• Attracts, engages, and develops team members within the department.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Collaborates, writes, and socializes customer-centric marketing plans.• Builds portfolios of product and service offerings to meet customer Moments of Need.• Tracks and reports on impact of marketing activities on key personas.• Speaks to key influencers and officials with compelling arguments to support your market segment.• Engages with our target customers digitally and in real life to elicit their needs first-hand.

QualificationsIdeal

• Demonstrates success prioritizing customer needs and insights to curate products/services portfolio.• Demonstrates understanding of customer journey and lifecycle, and success in tailoring marketing tactics appropriately.• Proficient in MS Office and workflow management tools (Wrike, Workfront, etc.).• Budget Management.• Travel up to 10-20% nationwide

Preferred

• Experience in working in, or marketing to, the vertical segment.• Experience identifying and monetizing vertical communities.• Experience developing and executing a multi-channel strategy to reach a vertical community.• Experience gaining brand advocacy through strategic partnerships and other influence tactics.• Experience developing marketing strategies with top consumer brands.• Experience collaborating across multiple geographies and cultures.• Demonstrates success in high-volume, matrixed organization.• People management

Up to $95,000/ per yearThe posted compensation is the base pay. This is the hiring range and does not include bonus potential or the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time.Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
