About this job

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations role is responsible for managing and leading a team of skilled associates who are focused on marketing project management for Acquisitions Channels and content programs. This encompasses lean workflow practices, resource planning, tactical work prioritization, and tools and process optimizations. This role is a part of Marketing Operations leadership which serves as the backbone of the CarMax marketing team, delivering planning, governance and support functions to allow core marketing functions to focus on delivering value.

What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

· Manage the project management process and workflow model for digital marketing and content areas of Marketing.

· Improve productivity and return on digital marketing and content team investments via workflow experimentation, tools & process optimizations

· Integrate projects and priorities of multiple content functional areas including production, strategy, creative, and partners.

· Maintain proactive communications regarding project and program status across multiple account stakeholders including creative team members, direct marketing teams, external partners and senior management.

· Create and document operations best practices policies and procedures for digital marketing, content channels and internal business partners.

· Manage, lead and develop a team of associates through timely performance feedback delivered during day-to-day observations, file reviews and an annual performance review. Responsible for creating individual development plans and business objectives designed to enhance and assist associate growth.

· Support the leadership of cross-functional project teams that include strategy, creative, analysts and production through all phases of the project.

· Develop and track productivity measurements including output, cycle time, quality, and resource allocation.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while balancing time, multi-tasking and interruptions

· Ability to develop and execute a plan with minimal direction.

· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within immediate area of business, and when necessary, identifies resources in other areas of the business that can be utilized.

· Ability to provide “win-win” solutions while resolving customer service issues in a positive and professional manner.

· Seven or more years of experience in Program Management, Project Management or Traffic Management in a creative environment.

· One or more years of experience working in an Agile Marketing environment.

· Certified Scrum Master, Master Certificate in Project Management and/or PMP Certification preferred.

· Experience working with marketing workflow systems (i.e. Aprimo, Workfront, Davinci, Infor, etc).

· Four-year undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field, MBA preferred.
