Summary
Client is seeking a motivated Mechanical Designer with 2 to 5 year of 3Ddesign modeling experience who desires to grow in a technical and professionally diverse environment.ssociate degree or relevant technical degree required.Strong problem-solving and communication skills essential.The candidate will be responsible for developing designs in the preparation of drawing managing the drafting function for projects assigned, supporting the department manager in maintaining the design (drawing) standards, and suggesting detail to complete the drawings per standards.Core competencies required in planning drawing work for the mechanical team, preparation of mechanical flow diagram and drawing to support equipment specificationThe successful candidate will be experienced in engineering sketches and calculations, general arrangement, and plant layout drawing.Most of our work is done in Revit and is preferred, but Solidworks or Inventor + other 3D software is acceptable.Responsibilities:
Maintain drawing and design standard based on the Mechanical Department current standard.Develop the design per company standard.Notify the PM and Leads about scope change.Check detail drawing and revision to drawing.Develop piping layout and piping schematic, per lead engineer direction.ssemble available information as required for drawing production, including GA and equipment drawing coordinating with structural engineer and mechanical designer where differences occur.Be the engineer first "detail " checker.Review details for completeness and accuracy.Oversee filing of production drawing.Develop issue folder for issuing drawing.Make record of meeting and phone conversations.Review drawings of other discipline for mechanical requirements and interface
