Destination Ann Arbor has a new and exciting opportunity to join their team as the Graphic Designer and Visual Asset Manager.

Summary:

The Graphic Designer and Visual Asset Manager will play an integral role in Destination Ann Arbor's marketing department. Proficient in both digital and print design, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of visual communication, this candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our company across various platforms from concept development to final execution.

Graphic Design

Responsible for the organization's digital and print graphic design needs including ad creation; marketing collateral for the leisure, meetings, and sports departments; corporate communications materials; and logo design.Embrace and champion Destination Ann Arbor brand guidelines, ensuring all organizational communications are on brand and executed accordingly.Assist in the development and activation of local and regional integrated marketing campaigns.Support Destination Ann Arbor's partnership with agency of record in the evaluation, implementation, and activation of regional and national advertising campaigns as required.Asset Management

Oversee the organization, storage, management, and distribution of our extensive library of visual content.Responsible for cataloging, tagging, and archiving images, videos, graphics, and other visual assets to ensure easy accessibility and efficient retrieval.Collaborating closely with partnering departments to understand their visual content needs.Responsible for sourcing, licensing, managing, and scheduling external production and support partners.Required Education and Experience:

Post-high school education, up to a 4-year degree or the equivalent amount of professional work experience.Interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication.Attention to detail, and strong organizational and time management skills.Goal-oriented.Must be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously under time constraints.A deep understanding of the print production process, and of digital asset management systems.Proficiency with all Adobe Creative Cloud products (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).Drive to stay current with technology and understand the latest design trends.A proactive approach to maintaining the integrity and quality of visual assets.A passion for design.The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Additional Education and Experience:

Knowledge of Washtenaw CountyVideo editing experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

A valid Drivers License

Travel:

Limited local travel in personal vehicle is required for local organization business. Some air and/or road travel may be required for industry conferences and professional development opportunities.

Work Environment:

The work is primarily indoors in an office environment within an office building. The office is on the second floor and accessible via stairs or elevator.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This role requires bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, and standing. Extended computer use is required. Requires occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects over 25-pounds.
