PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Marketing and PR Manager plays a crucial role in the hotel’s general revenue stream, as they are responsible for conceptualizing, initiating, and executing the marketing strategies to meet the hotel’s financial and operational goals. The Marketing Manager works in tandem with all teams across the hotel and externally to promote the brand, initiatives, and events, as well as optimizing and maintaining various channels, including, but not limited to, website, social media, email marketing, advertising, out-of-home marketing, print collateral, partnerships, and more. The ideal candidate is a creative, effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism, communication, administrative skills and the ability to make sound and timely business decisions that streamline internal processes and generate revenue.

QUALIFICATIONS• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher. Hospitality Management degree is a plus.• Experience: 3 years or more in sales and marketing, public relations, communications, digital marketing or related fields.• Work experience in/for a luxury hotel brand preferred.• Experience managing agencies, partners, internal teams, external stakeholders.• Luxury brand experience.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES• Execute hotel and restaurant’s grand-scale marketing initiatives, campaigns, packages and promotions based on the yearly marketing plan.• Have a good understanding of current digital marketing, paid advertising, and social advertising landscape.• Knowledgeable in website management and know how to use CMS tools.• Knowledge in the Public Relations industry and how the general PR landscape operates.• Be the primary contact for media/influencer related requests and for agency and partners and know how to garner media relationships.• Identify and establish brand partnerships to help drive awareness and traffic to the hotel and outlets.• Support sales and events team with special offers, tradeshow collateral, and generic sales projects.• Develop creative guest room packages and promotional products in order to increase revenue and enhance the hotel's brand awareness.• Coordinate photoshoots/video shoots and be able to give creative direction/input as necessary.• Conceptualize and lead imitation of unique food and beverage events to generate general brand awareness, from beginning to end.• Be able to design print or digital collaterals for guests, clients, partners using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Canva.• Must have strong copywriting skills to ensure consistent tone of voice across various channels.• Must be able to follow brand guidelines and standards to maintain consistency in brand image.• Must have a thorough understanding of the hotel industry and hotel business.• Must be able to implement market strategies and be capable of observing marketing trends.• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.• Must have excellent project management, time management, and organization skills.• Must be able to perform job function with minimal supervision, even under pressure and as a cohesive team member.• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.• Must be able to manage large marketing budget, with attention to detail, and give recommendations where appropriate.
