This individual will have an understanding of Printed Circuit Board Fabrication and Circuit Card Assembly processing and manufacturing for use in high reliability environments, and will be responsible for preparing complex printed wiring board layouts per written and verbal engineering instruction.The Ideal Candidate will have the following:Broad technical background designing high reliability Printed Circuit Boards per engineering requirementsStrong understanding of Electronic Hardware design, schematics, and PCB design documentation using Mentor Graphics Xpedition 2.13, Blue Print and Valor specifically.Strong Customer Service orientation, to work with Design Engineering CustomersExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem solving skillsDemonstrated ability to multitask and manage their workStrong knowledge of Rockwell Collins Workmanship Standards and Modification Standards or IPC-A610Be willing and able to mentor and coach junior level designers
What You Will DoPrepare complex PCB Design layouts, revisions or CAD library symbols per verbal instructions, electrical inputs, and existing hardware or engineering lab models, received from mechanical and electrical engineering and/or other technical support personnel to create highly complex circuit card assemblies incorporating Rockwell Collins best practice for fabrication, assembly and testInterface and troubleshoot printed circuit designs, revisions and CAD library symbols with Manufacturing, Engineering and PCB fabrication vendorsProficiently use Mentor Xpedition 2.13 schematic capture tool and Blue Print 6.6 as well as knowledge of design assembly and fabrication rules to prepare PCB designsPrepare designs compliant to Rockwell Collins Workmanship Standards and Rockwell Collins Modification StandardsFollow through with work assignments and support management's policies and proceduresSupport overtime as requested/required
Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is requiredU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Functional knowledge of IPC standards for Design and Acceptance Criteria of Printed Circuit and/or Circuit Card Assemblies.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
