Mechanical Designer - The individual will be responsible for designing new products and making improvements to existing ones.
Primary Responsibilities
Ability to develop a product from concept through production
Creation of 3D models and assemblies
Product Documentation; including Bills of Materials, installation sheets, and specification data sheet
Interact with suppliers to understand manufacturing restrictions
Knowledge of sheet-metal, metal and plastic extrusion, die-cast, thermoform and plastic injection
Work with Manufacturing throughout development process.
Ability to manage the scope, timeline and budget of the project
Skills and Knowledge
Must be proficient in SolidWorks
Excellent written and verbal skills
Full proficiency in MS Office (Word; Excel; Outlook)
Ability to think creatively and bring ideas to the table
Excellent organizational skill
