Your Tasks:Utilize a computer aided design (CAD) system to create drawings (2D and 3D)Interpret schematics to develop complete system designsApply SMACNA general air handling system calculations to determine proper duct and component sizes and configurationsTravel to local customer sites and participate in field measurementsMaintain project schedulesEffectively communicate and interact with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers and customersControl and document the distribution and archiving of drawings and documentsUnderstand, diagnose, and solve real or potential design problemsAttend and contribute to design review meetingsInterpret mechanical drawingsTravel less than 10%

Your Skills:Associate Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred5 or more years of experienceExperienced with mechanical layout, detail drawings, and basic pipingExperienced with sheet metal and structural steel design and welding codesExperienced with combustion systemsExperienced with pneumatic and hydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsAbility to perform basic engineering calculationsStrong skills in math and geometryProficient in the use of AutoCAD (2D and 3D)Proficient in the use of SolidworksProficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and OutlookGood time management skillsGood organizational skillsGood verbal communication skillsGood technical writing skillsGood communication skills with co-workers, suppliers, and customersAble to work well independently and in a team environmentAbility to technically define problems and propose solutionsAdaptable to change in a learning environmentSelf-starter capable of executing assigned tasks and solving problems in a diplomatic and professional mannerWilling and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary
