Join our roadways team to drive forth our economies, our societies, and your career.Your OpportunityAs Senior Project Manager, you will leverage your experience with Texas highway and roadway projects to assist in our growing Texas practice and manage the design and delivery of large projects.You will play a pivotal role in expanding our existing client and project base and in efforts to position the firm to acquire new transportation business with TxDOT, toll agencies, RMA’s and various counties and cities. Further, you will have responsibility as Project Manager for projects from conceptual planning, through schematic design.You will perform a variety of tasks with potentially complex features that will require the application of mature knowledge. You will lead the analysis of proposed projects to ensure reliability, resource efficiency, quality deliverables and cost-effectiveness.Come join our Transportation Roadways Team and work alongside others who share your passion to support communities through exciting and unique roadway projects.Your Key ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of highway/roadway projects from conceptual design through schematic and environmental approvalFacilitate and participate in public meetings and stakeholder meetingsLead and develop roadway staffMonitor the quality of design and technical service delivery on transportation projectsWrite and negotiate proposals with clients or reviewing agenciesLead and be actively engaged with prospective client’s relationship building and maintenanceResponsible for the review and sealing of projects and supervising the work of other engineersResponsible for invoicing, managing and monitoring financial performance of project budgets using PM dashboardPerform on technically complex projects and acts as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team membersLiaise with clients, agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvalsStays up to date on regulatory changes and may establish working relationships with regulatory officialsParticipate in client functions, trade shows and conferencesQualificationsExperience managing Schematic and Environmental projects for rural or urban highways and roadwaysExceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skillsProven success in developing new clients and maintaining strong client relationships, coordinating project pursuits and proposal preparationAbility to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and scheduleUnderstanding of client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, invoicing and collecting accounts receivableTechnical expert in all relevant areas of design and understanding of various design methodsExperience in relevant design software, which may include Bentley MicroStation, GEOPAK, and OpenRoadsProficient in Microsoft (MS) OfficeEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related fieldTX PE licenseMinimum of 15 years highway/roadway design experienceExperience in project management, planning, design and contract administrationExperience in successful highway/roadway pursuits including identifying opportunities, building client relationships, developing teaming strategies and developing proposalsTxDOT Precertification
