This role is based in San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About The Role

Lead and contribute to the design and development of products that enhance the experience of Patreon creatorsAdvocate for best patterns and practices in the areas of system design, performance, and testingDrive clarity and alignment on technical vision and directionAdvocate for engineering systems and solutions that will accelerate product development in the long-runWork with a fully cross functional team to define and deliver new product featuresBuild a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers

About You

5+ years of experience in full stack software developmentIn depth knowledge of Typescript/Javascript and experience with React, Node.js and Yarn/NPMIn depth knowledge of Python, PHP, Java or a similar general purpose languageStrong understanding of web servers, API design frameworks, and data modelingExcellent communication skills to facilitate requirements gathering, decision-making, and knowledge sharing.Holds a high standard of quality and craft with an eye for UX and engineering detailA track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughputPenchant for solving complex requirements with elegant and simple solutionsEnthusiastic about building for creators
