Position Summary : The UX/UI Developer is responsible for developing, integrating, and delivering applications using front-end, back-end, database, and hosting tools. This role involves creating seamless user experiences through thoughtful design and implementation, ensuring functionality, usability, and aesthetics in web and mobile applications. The UX/UI Developer will work independently using functional specifications and will be involved in all layers of the stack, including coding, UI/UX design, database integrations, deployment activities, and testing. This position requires experience with AWS, API integration, and cloud-based architecture.
Key Responsibilities:Develop, integrate, and deliver web applications using front-end, back-end, database, and hosting tools.Utilize all layers of the stack to complete coding, UI/UX design, database integrations, and deployment activities.Deliver software products independently using functional specifications.Research, develop, and maintain new functionality, content sections, and microsites to support programs and initiatives.Design and create engaging and intuitive user interfaces.Implement improvements to site function and usability.Develop and maintain page templates, components, and custom modules to enhance user experience.Create and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.Conduct user testing and gather feedback to refine and improve designs.Develop and maintain microsites, including adding enhancements and features based on program needs.Utilize open-source solutions where applicable; document the need for custom development when necessary.Implement new modules and custom development to improve site function and usability.Implement and manage applications in a cloud-based architecture, particularly AWS.Integrate applications with various APIs to enhance functionality and data exchange.Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the smooth operation of applications.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application-related issues.Maintain accurate documentation of all development and maintenance activities.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver applications.Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.2 years of experience in UX/UI development, application development, and integration.Experience with Drupal or similar content management systems.Experience in creating and maintaining microsites.Knowledge of best practices in UX/UI design and user-centered design principles.Proficiency in a variety of development programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, SQL, SQLServer, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and HTML/CSS.Experience with version control tools such as GIT, SVN, or Mercurial, and frameworks such as MEAN, Django, LAMP, or Ruby on Rails.Strong understanding of cloud-based architecture and experience with AWS.Experience with API integration and development.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
