SMX is seeking a SharePoint/Web Developer to support GISA at Fort Belvoir, VA. The successful candidate will have experience developing SharePoint and Websites on Department of Defense networks and have an in depth understanding of information flow and user experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Configure SharePoint sites, libraries, and lists to meet organizational needs.

Customize SharePoint sites using web parts, workflows, and templates to enhance functionality.

Develop and maintain websites and web applications using front-end and back-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ASP.NET.

Create visually appealing and user-friendly UI/UX designs for SharePoint sites and web applications.

Ensure consistency in design elements and user flow.

Integrate SharePoint with other systems, applications, and databases for data sharing and process automation.

Design, code, and implement custom solutions, features, and applications within SharePoint and web environments.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and rectify issues, ensuring the reliability and security of SharePoint and web applications.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, custom code, and development processes for reference and knowledge sharing.

Identify and resolve technical issues, including performance optimization and security concerns.

Collaborate with end-users, administrators, and other team members to gather requirements and provide technical support.

Offer training and support to ensure efficient utilization of SharePoint and web solutions.

Ensure SharePoint sites and web applications comply with security and data governance policies.

Required Skills, Experience & Education

Active TS security clearance and eligible for SCI and NATO read-on prior to starting work.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, information technology, or a related field.

Proficiency in key technologies, including SharePoint, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and familiarity with relevant web development frameworks and tools.

A minimum of 10 + years of relevant work experience in Knowledge Management, SharePoint development, web design/development, and UX/UI. This experience should include designing, building, and maintaining SharePoint sites and web applications.

Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work well in a team, and effective communication with senior executives.

DoD 8140 / 8570.01-m requirements met and current, specifically a certification included in the IAT II level of 8570 baseline certifications, which can be found at this link: https://public.cyber.mil/wid/dod8140/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications/
