Who will you be working with?

To help us continue to grow our offerings & profitability, we’re in search of a marketing manager to lead our formerly Nordco Roadway Work Equipment (RWE), Mobile Material Handling (MMH) and Super Metal product lines.

An ideal candidate should be comfortable working with complex challenges, appreciating white space and autonomy and willing to scope out global marketing campaigns that deliver on our Maintenance of Way growth strategies. The candidate must be able to provide thought leadership and see the big picture while executing on details. As a strong team player, this highly visible position will work with product management, sales and engineering to guide the growth strategy, measure its success, and ensure messaging resonates with the company, customer and shareholders.

Our Product Management team combines deep domain knowledge of the railroad track maintenance and shunting operations with best-in-class engineering to deliver high quality maintenance of way and railcar mover solutions to the transportation industry. Here you’ll interact daily with our global product, sales, engineering and customer base to market our capabilities and solutions.

How will you make a difference?

As a critical member of the Wabtec Maintenance of Way team you will be responsible for leading its overall brand strategy and execution. You will own product marketing & sales enablement collateral for all three businesses and manage Wabtec MOW’s presence at industry tradeshows and events. You will have the unique opportunity to shape Wabtec MOW’s story in the industry and work with Wabtec’s corporate communications team to issue content for internal and external channels. Cross-functional leadership and communication is key to this role and you will have visibility to the Wabtec MOW CEO while executing on the strategy.

What do we want to know about you?

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.

MS in Marketing not required but preferred

Experience

3-5 years of experience in marketing, product marketing or communications

Eye for design and ability to tell stories using a variety of mediums: powerpoint, images, written-word

Adept in building and managing a network of graphic designers, marketing service providers, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with public speaking

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority…work collaboratively with sales, engineering and product management

Experience in launching online campaigns & managing website chatbots

Demonstrated success in positioning and launching differentiated products that exceed business objectives, formulating a product marketing strategy

SME in rail and/or railcar mover product, transportation industry…working technical knowledge

Technical Skills

Design, social media & web content development…metrics-driven & eye-catching marketing

Microsoft Office Applications, Online marketing and social tools

Technical aptitude and experience with market analysis, strategic planning

Behavioral Attributes

Desire to continually learn and expand skillset

Ability to drive decisions with cross-functional stakeholders

Ability to communicate with customers on a frequent basis and represent Wabtec brand

Strong communication, influencing and presentation making and delivery skills

30%, based on tradeshows and customer engagement activities, connect with sales teams to understand customer base

What will your typical day look like?

Marketing & Communications

Lead brand strategy formulation and execution…transitioning legacy Nordco brand and other brands into Wabtec Corporation. Manage marketing budget across P&Ls, track ROI

Own all product marketing collateral and dealer/sales enablement content. Review current assets, strategize on what market needs and prioritize investments in new collateral

Manage tradeshow and events presence for RWE, MMH and Super Metal product lines. Coordinate with global teams when/where applicable. Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads

Build communications strategy & coordinate with corporate communications team to issue press releases, content for internal and external communications channels (website, chatbot, email marketing, social, advertisements etc.)

Review existing content and develop creative briefs to meet objectives for all advertising and public-­facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets

Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics

Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

While this position may be remote, it may include occasional work at a Wabtec office/site or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
