Remote or Hybrid in Wayland, MA 01778Position Overview CDA is looking for a senior AV Project Design Consultant to join our growing team based in Wayland, MA. If you have a passion for AV, modern workplace technology, UC, broadcast, production and post‐production, acoustics, or IT‐related engineering, and are a creative, outgoing individual who would thrive in a small company, team environment where your opinions count, we want to hear from you!Candidates should be professional, technically oriented, and dependable self‐starters with an interest in AV systems design and implementation, as well as base building construction and architectural detailing. Experience with system design, budget development, and program development is essential. Experience within the construction industry and familiarity with AIA standards of practice are a strong plus. Ideal candidates will possess good planning and organizational skills and a thirst for learning and implementing best practices in AV system design.Specific Duties Include (but not limited to):

Design AV, UC, Broadcast, Production, and Postproduction systems utilizing current technologies including network audio and video endpoints, AVoverIP, video conferencing, soft codecs, appliances, audio DSPs, microphones, video cameras, amplifiers, speakers, control systems, displays, network switches, and moreProduce design concepts; programs, budgets, reports; AV and control signal flow sketches; redline architectural drawings; microphone and speaker layout; display (monitor, projector, LED video wall) layouts; display mount details; and Division 27 and 11 specificationsProvide overall management, ownership, and responsibility for projects on which you are named Design LeadManage project design budgets; track resource allocations and manage time in coordination with Technical Operations to meet project deadlines; monitor and track project activities to ensure overall project successInterface, consult with, and present to client and project team members on design concepts and matters related to projects under your managementCoordinate with all members of the project team in all phases, from design through checkout and turnover.Participate in design collaboration, peer reviews, and Quality ControlProvide direction to support staff on system design, documentation production, editing, and delivery of projects under your managementParticipate in job site inspections; attend project meetingsParticipate in project checkout and development of punch list; closeout; customer sign‐off; reportingFurther your knowledge of AV products and trends through vendor communications and self‐learningQualifications and Work Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degreeEngineering or technical service experience in the Commercial A/V IndustryComprehension of architectural, electrical, and telecom drawings, system drawings and specificationsAvixa CTS‐D strongly desired but not requiredProficiency with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Office/Teams and Acrobat required, Revit experience a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills are a mustAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyPeriodic travel may be requiredWork Location
