Golin is in search of an issues management and crisis communications mid-level senior manager to provide strategic issues and crisis counsel and direction to clients across corporate accounts including, healthcare, finance, and technology.At Golin, you’ll collaborate with cutting-edge thinkers and use industry leading technologies as part of a team that’s changing the way issues management and crisis response is done. Our team is rethinking the practice of issues management and crisis response in an era when fake news proliferates and the need to consider cultural diversity is exceedingly important.If you’re a detailed strategic thinker who continuously reads the news and digs into understand the important societal, political, and social issues of the world we live in and you know how to work in the fast-paced world of PR agencies, we would like to hear from you.What You Have:5+ years’ experience in an agency or in-house communications position, a mix of experience preferred, corporate experience highly preferred.Proven ability to write simply, clearly, and cohesively. Experience leading the development of communications strategy and content on behalf of a client or company confronted with a reputation-threatening crisis, including playbook development and crisis communications planning.Experience serving as issues counsel in a client or corporate communications setting.Comfort and confidence in working calmly in high-pressure, high-leverage situations and sensitive subject matters.Ability to direct/lead in a fast-paced, demanding environment.Ability to spot trends, monitor for emerging or active issues and “see around the corner” to predict what might happen next.Curiosity about what constitutes and drives news, social media engagement and broader public interest.Sensitivity to issues that affect clients’ reputations and brands.Experience mentoring and growing younger professionals.Familiarity with a broad suite of social media tools, including Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and others.Understanding and grasp of current events and national conversation around emerging socio-political and geopolitical issues.Who You Are:I’m a go-to producer.
