League Studio is the entity within Riot Games that makes League of Legends, Wild Rift, and Teamfight Tactics along with other games in development. To support the aspirations of these games, the Studio makes significant investments in developing and advancing the League game platform through the Tech Foundations team. Hextech is a team within Tech Foundations that is accountable for the engine, tools, and developer experience for League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.As a Technical Product Manager III (TPM) at Riot, you will combine industry knowledge with product leadership to provide players with essential features and supporting systems. As the TPM for Hextech Developer Experience, you will set the product direction, vision, and strategy for the critical systems, frameworks, and tools within the Hextech Game Engine. League Studio developers will depend on your products across the full game development lifecycle from concept through delivery and maintenance. You will be responsible for defining the product requirements and their success metrics. You will ensure there is a clear articulation of the customer value proposition along with a smooth onboarding experience to utilize your products and features.You will leverage your knowledge of game engines, game development, and game application architecture to build products that allow developers to structure their data and develop game behaviors while managing tradeoffs between performance, data reliability, scalability, and debuggability optimized for the player experience. You will also ensure that the engine architecture can be leveraged efficiently by the around-game client and to create tools and plugins used across League Studios.You will report to the Director of Product Management of Hextech.Responsibilities:
Define and drive a vision, strategy and roadmap for your productsLead and set the direction for the products, tools, and support structureManage relationships with partners/stakeholders, customer and partner communicationsGather user feedback and incorporate it into product roadmapsEnsure your products and team is aligned with the game teams’ and Riot's goalsPartner and collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Technical Leads to align on the product and technical plan the team executes againstReview and develop Service Level Agreements and goals with all core customersRequired Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant industry experience4+ years of product management experienceHands-on experience with game engines (e.g. Unity, Unreal) and game developmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.Excellent teamwork, team leadership, communication, and stakeholder managementDesired Qualifications:
