Summary:

We are looking for an exceptional Decision Scientist to join our Enterprise Decision Science team at ZipRecruiter. Come join a team of passionate individuals and help drive value for our Enterprise customers. As the Lead Decision Scientist supporting Enterprise, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams to drive business goals. This role will play a pivotal role in providing data-driven insights for key product and business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the trusted partner for Enterprise stakeholders through a deep understanding of the products and business. Enable data-driven decisions through analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and modeling.

Regularly provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support cross-functional teams and leadership. Collaborate closely with stakeholder teams and deliver to expectations.

Proactively identify new opportunities to drive Enterprise customer value. Take ownership of projects and deliver excellent oral and written presentations.

Build new processes and institutional knowledge to improve ZipRecruiter’s broader decision-making and execution capabilities.

Regularly document work and code, with attention to detail and extensibility.

Inspire, mentor, and grow the capabilities on your team and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, operations research and economics

5+ years of professional experience in decision science, data science, business analytics, software engineering, or related field; 1+ years of experience as a Lead, Principle, or senior-level Scientist/Analyst, managing complex projects or early stage products

Intensive hands-on experience building actionable insight, A/B testing or observational study, using data to influence product strategy and roadmap

Expert in SQL and one analytics programming language (Python or R), and data visualization tools

Experience working with large datasets and both structured & unstructured data

Preferred Qualifications

MS/PhD in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, operations research, and economics

3+ years of experience as a Lead, Principle, or senior-level, ideally managing big initiatives and early stage products

Ads experience or sponsored jobs in bidding system highly desirable

Domain knowledge in practical A/B testing and causal inference

Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling

Experience working with Spark and/or Databricks

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$190,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and the range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and additional role-related considerations.

Depending on the position offered, equity, bonuses, commission, or other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
