The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking (1) an experienced Manager, Graduate Communications.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for student communication plans delivered through a CRM as well as responsibilities for the website for Graduate Services and the Office of Academic Assistance. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that departmental graduate programs, advertising accurate and up-to-date information on their websites, and launching social media efforts on behalf of the Office of Graduate Services and the Office of Academic Assistance.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Manager, Graduate Communications are the following:

  • Develops and maintains web content for the College of Arts and Sciences student services in accordance with established standards and requirements for brand presentation, logo usage, style guides, etc. (graduate and undergraduate).
  • Coordinates the implementation of web-based initiatives in concert with the college's Office of Public Relations.
  • Acts as a resource to department representatives to ensure that graduate program-related web content is consistent and accurate on the departmental website.
  • Coordinates and executes both internal and external email communication campaigns to support the enrollment, retention, progression, and outreach efforts for student services units (graduate and undergraduate).
  • Creates original copy for a wide variety of organizational email communications using best practices in email communication strategies.
  • Utilizes university CRM platform and other web-based delivery systems to produce all forms of communication campaigns graphically.
  • Act as liaison between third-party CRM vendors, college PR, and university Graduate Admissions and Marketing.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of marketing and communication calendars for graduate and undergraduate student success units.
  • Generates monthly reports on activities related to the communication campaigns, including op-outs, hard bounces, click-throughs, and other issues related to communication management.
  • Oversees social media efforts for student services units in the College of Arts & Sciences,
  • including the management of any graduate assistants assigned such tasks.
  • Represent the Office of Graduate Services and the Office of Academic Assistance on regular and ad-hoc university committees. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with higher education communications and marketing.
  • Experience in creating online and email communication campaigns.
  • Database and spreadsheet familiarity.
  • Experience with communication CRM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
