Position Summary:

Are you passionate about the WNBA and interested in contributing to its creative vision?

We are looking for a dynamic Creative Brand Strategist to support our Creative Director in driving the evolution of our brand. This role will sit at the intersection of creative and brand strategy, ensuring our brand remains vibrant, engaging, and culturally relevant. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker; you connect the dots and delight in the application of data insights to drive creative storytelling and brand growth From crafting compelling brand narratives and campaign tactics to identifying emerging trends and opportunities for the brand to show up, you'll play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for fans around the world and helping define the future of the WNBA brand.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Creative Director to provide and define strategic recommendations and areas of opportunity for how the WNBA brand shows up.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (content, social, product, fan engagement) to develop and inform integrated campaigns that elevate brand visibility and engagement that elevate brand visibility and engagement across digital media, owned and operated platforms (WNBA App, WNBA.com, [redacted] social), and live events.
  • Provide strategic guidance throughout the creative process to ensure alignment with brand objectives and audience needs.
  • Inform creative output through research and development of consumer insights and strategically based brand narratives
  • Employ a consumer-centric approach to determine the most effective elements for delivering creative ideas across traditional, digital, and emerging platforms.
  • Foster collaboration across teams to ensure a cohesive visual identity and introduce innovative creative solutions for the expanding WNBA brand.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and cultural trends to evolve and continually enhance the WNBA brand experience.


Required Skills/Knowledge:
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in agency and/or client-side creative strategy or brand strategy roles.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to navigate difficult issues!
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana or similar software.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, seamlessly transitioning between tasks and delivering results under tight deadlines!
  • Knowledge working in Google suite of products (Google Slides, Sheets, Docs, etc.), as well as Powerpoint and/or Keynote - this role will require the ability to craft presentations.


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or a related four-year degree program required.


Salary Range: (($85,000 - $110,000))
