FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Supervising Producer is responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of Linear and Digital -- including newscasts, breaking news coverage, online content and other assigned projects for FOX 4. Must work with the Executive Producer, Producers, Reporters, Photographers , Anchors, Associate Producers and Assignment Editors to enterprise, plan, coach, write and produce content for FOX 4's linear and digital newscasts, website and social media. Must work with Production and Engineering to plan and execute newscasts - including remotes, segments and productions. Assign and copy edit scripts, teases and graphics. Provide guidance for Reporters for story ideas and story development. Provide guidance for Producers on show content and production . Must work closely with the Executive Producer in the day-to-day operation of the News department. Fill in producing newscasts when necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Communication required. At least six (6) years in a top TV market experience required. Prior managerial/supervisory experience a must. Must have knowledge and proficiency in newsroom systems. Must have experience and strong skill set in social media. Strong oral and written communication skills a must. Must have strong knowledge of legal and ethical parameters for mass media.
