The Role

Congo Brands is looking for a Field Marketing Manager to take our successful Orlando market to the next level! The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) is the critical first line manager responsible for implementing Alani Nu and PRIME's field marketing program in a specific market. The FMM is responsible for at least 4-6 Field Marketing Ambassadors (FMAs) in each market, and is accountable for all facets of their management, including recruiting, onboarding, planning, motivation and day-to-day administration. In addition, the FMM also provides oversight of the market’s collegiate ambassador program and support of relevant, local market event opportunities.The Field Marketing Manager must be based in or near Orlando, Florida and will be responsible for that territory. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategy to drive customer engagement and sales growth in the region. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and develop programs that drive awareness of Alani Nu and PRIME in Orlando, establishing new loyal customer bases in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Alani Nu and PRIME Sampling ProgramRecruit and maintain a team of 4-6 Field Marketing Ambassadors (FMAs).Utilize existing tactics and develop new best practices for hiring FMAs.Maintain the appropriate number of FMAs with sufficient availability to meet consumer collecting goals.Adhere to HR policies for new FMA recruits.
  2. TrainingBecome a product, brand & sampling expert to best train FMAs to be successful in the field, according to the FMA Performance ExpectationsConduct Alani Nu / PRIME onboard training for new hires.Utilize existing and develop new, fun, and creative methods to ensure FMAs have the necessary knowledge of our brand and product.Carry out frequent spot checks each month to monitor program effectiveness and address areas of improvement.Identify leaders within the sampling team to assist in program management, providing clear goals and appropriate training.
  3. MotivationCreate and foster a positive learning environment through interactive training, personal coaching, and sharing of best practices.Recognize and develop achievement and skill sets of individuals and the sampling program as a whole.Empower FMAs to identify, develop, and execute sampling missions and other ideas to enhance the sampling experience.Reward successful FMAs with leadership opportunities at a field level.
  4. Planning & ExecutionDevelop plans to build Alani Nu / PRIME trial and awareness among consumers with strong market knowledge and strategic priorityUtilize FMAs to generate new and innovative ideas for sampling missions and other market opportunitiesCollaborate with other teams to collect, assess, and schedule quality sampling missionsMaximize the impact of market sampling by ensuring missions are unexpected, unique, and mobileCollaborate with Alani Student Ambassadors to create maximum impact on college campusesPlay an active role in quarterly planning, distributor reviews, and business planning cyclesImplement a continuous series of Quality Sampling Missions for the market
  5. Reporting & CommunicationUse, and train team members on, reporting toolsProcess FMA timesheets and manage payroll submissionBuild team schedule using knowledge of the home marketSample in the field for 15-20 hours per weekTrack sampling metrics and ensure goals are metEnsure accurate reporting and responsible use of company propertyEvaluate sampling data for strategic opportunitiesDiscuss market analysis with manager and modify plans as necessaryShare best practices and learnings with team membersProvide end-of-month reports for leadership teamCommunicate pro-actively and respond in a timely manner
  6. Collegiate Marketing ProgramRecruit, train & manage a team of Alani Student Ambassadors to make Alani Nu an integral and relevant part of a student's campus lifeInitiate, organize, & supervise events or sales opportunities, with the local sales team, to ensure perfect distribution and visibility in and around campusActivate campus relationships & integrate Alani Nu into key functional & image building opportunities with students, both on and off campus
  7. Local Market Event OpportunitiesReview & assess local market event opportunities that are reflective of the Alani Nu brand, and deliver a clear authentic message to the consumerMaximize ROI be selectively identifying relevant opportunities to grow the brand, achieve business objective and engage our consumersAt least 2 years of management experience with direct oversight of a teamTwo-year degree preferredStrong relationship building skillsExemplary motivation skills and ability to cultivate team environmentCharismatic and outgoing personalityExisting local market knowledge strongly preferredCreative mind with track record of innovation and initiative in past work experience / extra-curricular activitiesAbility to cultivate a team environmentStrong understanding of the local market’s collegiate landscapeExperience with field marketing highly preferred.Travels 50-60% based on market territoryA reliable means of transportation and a valid driver’s license that is not expired, suspended, or revoked, as demonstrated with a MVRMaintain a pulse on the local market’s activation opportunitiesExceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilitiesStrong planning and project management competenciesAbility to work hours on weekendsMust be proficient with relevant computer software and communication toolsFlexibility: This is not a typical 9-5 job.
