Job Summary:

The Senior Commercial Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in driving the commercial success of our products post-launch. They will be responsible for developing and executing downstream marketing strategies to maximize product adoption, revenue, and market share.

This individual leads with trust and integrity and acts as a business partner, applying influence management with cross functional leaders and staff inside and outside of Cerapedics to achieve downstream goals and objectives.

The Senior Manager will bring experience and leadership in the medical device industry or in related fields, including a track record of executing downstream strategies for high value medical device products, with experience presenting and communicating to executives and external stakeholders.

The Senior Commercial Marketing Manager reports to the Sr. Director, Global Downstream Marketing.

Specific Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute commercial downstream marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, adoption, and customer loyalty.
  • Utilize various channels, including digital marketing, conferences, and trade shows, to reach target audiences.
  • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of messaging across all channels.
  • Create sales tools, collateral, and training materials to empower the sales team to effectively communicate product value propositions.
  • Lead training sessions for sales representatives on product features, benefits, and competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, clinicians, and healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement customer engagement programs with the sales channel to deliver revenue targets.

Develop competitive intelligence tools for our sales management team including but not limited to intelligence reports against requested competitors, manage competitive dataset, provide industry updates.

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for product positioning and differentiation.

Education or Formal Training Required:

Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field. MBA Preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial marketing.

Previous experience in, or strong working knowledge of the medical device industry. Preferable Spine Surgery experience.

Ability to balance multiple projects with strong tactical execution.

Ability and experience working with external agencies.

Influence management skills and ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.

Experience working with executives, health care providers and professional organizations.

This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination.

Moderate to minimal supervision. A wide degree of latitude is expected. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Travel Requirement: 20-30%

Base salary- $155k-$180k, plus target bonus.
