Austin Ridge Bible Church, a multi-site church of 8,000 located in the fast-growing city of Austin, Texas, is looking for a Communications Director who is passionate about supporting ministries through promoting their events well. We’re looking for a creative, organized, experienced leader who will communicate the gospel and move people into environments where they can come to Know Jesus, Grow in Him, and Serve Him. Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day communications operations, including overseeing staff and content creation/production
Align churchwide communication to reflect the desires of leadership throughout all communication mediums on all Austin Ridge campuses
Support ministries in planning for events through discussing communication strategies and offering ideas for promoting to the church
Oversee the overall design of all media promotions for stories and events
Develop individualized communications strategies and equip ministries to implement them
Develop and implement the weekend communications plan with worship and production staff
Maintain the website by ensuring accurate and relevant information is displayed
Oversee the process of copywriting and proofing web and print content for accuracy, grammar, and consistent voicing
Create timelines for projects and track statuses to ensure deadlines are met
Manage Austin Ridge church-wide social media content and platforms
Create best practices, manage budgets, and evaluate marketing ROI and key metrics
Attend weekly ministry staff meetings, all staff meetings, and retreats as requested
Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Position Requirements
Qualifications
Mature, growing follower of Jesus with a consistent devotional life
Experience and enthusiasm for ministering to the church body and a heart to serve ministries by helping them communicate well with print, graphics, and video
5+ years’ experience leading a communications or marketing department
Ability to work on a team towards specific goals in a mutually edifying and supportive manner
Self-Starter with the ability to work on multiple tasks and be flexible
Capable and influencing team leader
Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
Creative eye with inherent sense of what works artistically
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Technologically proficient and up to date on current software and trends
Commitment to and agreement with the statement of faith of Austin Ridge Bible Church
It is expected that this person is now or will become an active member of Austin Ridge Bible Church
