The Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Public Relations will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing communication strategies that uphold and enhance the reputation of our organization. You will be responsible for internal and external communications to ensure alignment with the company's objectives and values. Your expertise will be crucial in managing crisis communication, building media relations, and driving engagement across various stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
Lead visibility efforts for key executives that are front and center in telling the company story
Foster the creation and execution of creative, multi-faceted PR campaigns and programs leveraging traditional, social, and digital media tactics to support the corporate brand
Oversee awards submissions program in support of the brand and key executives
Collaborate with marketing and business leaders to develop and execute PR storylines that drive new or align with current media interests in support of brand efforts for topics such as financial wellness, voluntary benefits, and employer of choice
Ability to build leadership platforms, develop social media calendars, and deliver content under tight deadlines
Leverage data-driven insights to measure storyline, tactic, and overall campaign impact and adjust real-time as needed to drive success
Engage with the sales organization to ensure an understanding of how public relations affects and can affect sales metrics and goals
Accountable for writing all internal employee communications including all-employee emails, employee newsletter, and content creation for the bi-monthly enterprise-wide company Townhall
Manage the relationship with the public relations agency and lead the direction of the strategy with the agency
Draft and distribute all press releases along with any and all other external corporate communications documents
Create engaging pitch materials including press releases, decks, and the company profile
Create and update communications collateral: press releases, media kits award submissions, Q/As, backgrounders, technical papers, blogs, and social media content
Responsible for all of the company's reputation management efforts, including regular reporting to the Senior Leadership Team
The Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in business, journalism, public relations, communications, or related field
10 years public relations experience, ideally with digital, social, and corporate communications expertise
Direct experience with B2B2C story-telling strategy
Demonstrated ability in working directly with key stakeholders across the business including Sales and HR teams with a proven track record of showing how public relations delivers value to sales
Expert media relations skills with a well-developed network of relationships with top-tier business, consumer, and trade press
Expert writing and storytelling skills and a strong track record of developing and editing for jargon-free written content
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with your team, peers, internal business and marketing leaders
Proven ability to develop and coach team members to develop strong media storylines and innovative programs
Confidently communicate with sales, account management, extended leadership team, and senior leadership team
Preferred Experience:
Experience working within a larger organization (Global experience a great advantage)
