JOB SUMMARY
Position Overview: The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing effective marketing communication strategies that align with our business goals. This role involves creating compelling content, and collaborating with various departments to ensure consistent messaging across all brands and platforms. The Marketing Communications Specialist will also lead Ontellus' event marketing strategy and support tradeshows and conferences throught the year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing communications and content generation, excellent communication skills, and a creative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive, strategic marketing communications plans to support business objectives
  • Manage content development strategy across business units designed to support business objectives, with a focus on thought leadership, SEO, and engagement
  • Create, edit, and manage editorial calendar of high-quality content for various marketing channels, including website, blogs, social media, email, print materials, public relations, and press releases
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with subject matter experts (SMEs) to curate ideas and write/drive development of impactful content
  • Manage social media accounts, including content planning, posting, and engagement
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels
  • Manage event and tradeshow calendar as well as event briefs and logistics for all external tradeshows and conferences
  • Support internal communications, including internal newsletter initiatives to enhance employee engagement and alignment with company goals
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field (Required).
  • Proven Experience
    Minimum 3 years in a marketing communications and/or content role (Required).

  • Writing Skills
    Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities (Required).

  • Digital Tools
    Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, WordPress) (Required).

  • Event Marketing
    2-3 years of working with third-party vendors and event producers to facilitate the logistics of regional and national tradeshows and conferences.

  • Content Development
    Experience in copywriting, editing, and content development (Required).

  • Technical Skills
    Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Required); Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Plus).

  • Project Management
    Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Communication Skills
    Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.

  • SEO Knowledge
    Understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization.

  • Interpersonal Skills
    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Media Relations
    Experience in media relations.
