Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty (PenFed Realty), a wholly owned subsidiary of PenFed Credit Union (PenFed), is hiring a Digital Marketing Manager at our Alexandria, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to enhance PenFed Realtys online presence and boost brand awareness and culture through strategic social media and content approaches, effective digital advertising campaigns, robust lead generation, and basic management of company websites. This role will lead content marketing initiatives, including social media management, digital advertising for lead generation, and fundamental website management. Drawing upon a strong background in digital advertising creation and management, this role will utilize both creative and analytical skills to craft compelling content that engages and retains customers. Candidates should be well-versed in the latest technologies and marketing trends and have a fervent interest in fostering both company and customer culture.

Digital Advertising:

Overall project management and implementation of effective digital marketing campaigns on social media and the Internet that support business objectives.

  • Develop and execute effective advertising campaigns across various platforms, such as Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, PPC, display ads and others.
  • Generate consistent, targeted traffic and leads through strategic digital advertising.
  • Manage campaign budgets, utilize analytics to glean insights, and adjust spending to optimize campaign performance and meet objectives.
  • Stay informed about the latest advertising trends and best practices, integrating these into our campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as design and content, to create cohesive and effective campaigns.
  • Use measurement tools to regularly report on campaign progress, extract insights, and refine strategies through ongoing testing and new initiatives.

Social Media Management:

  • Post, monitor, and optimize our social media & digital presence across all company brands and office locations.
  • Create and maintain an editorial calendar that maps out content development plans in conjunction with marketing goals and integrated campaigns.
  • Monitor and engage with audiences and customers on social media platforms, review sites (Google Business Profiles), adhering to best practices in customer care.
  • Ensure all online efforts and messaging are consistent with the brand values, overall story, and voice for the target audience.
  • Document and represent the company at various community and outreach events and live event coverage, including on-site posting, photography, interviews and networking.
  • Be prepared for occasional evening and/or weekend work to manage urgent social media matters should they arise.

Website Management:

  • Manage and update the companys internal (intranet) and numerous consumer websites to ensure content is fresh, fully optimized, and reflects our latest offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and create landing pages and optimize user experience for paid search engine marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor, analyze and advise on website performance and implement modifications to SEO and SEM to ensure ad effectiveness and desired conversion.
  • Keep up to date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.

Qualifications:

An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing results-oriented social media marketing, digital ad spending and developing content is required.
  • A thorough understanding of social and digital advertising is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Facebook and buying campaigns required.
  • Proficiency in managing various social media platforms required.
  • Basic competency in photo/video editing, and graphic design preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, SEM, PPC, Google Analytics and social media management/reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of website analytics and conversion tracking
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Forward-thinking and team-oriented with the ability to educate and train others in the use of technology.
  • Experience in taking solutions from idea to implementation.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment, meeting tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Familiarity with real estate and its terminology a plus

Supervisory Responsibility
