POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Media and Content Coordinator will build and execute Sugarbush Resort's social media and video strategies, maintain all digital platforms, and support the production of creative content, marketing assets, and other marketing projects as needed. The position will drive the engagement and use of all social media channels through the concepting and production of creative content for wide distribution. The role will create consistent, meaningful content, and be responsive in publishing online content to capitalize on opportunities. Working with both internal and external stakeholders, the Social Media and Content Coordinator will be responsible for advancing content and creative projects in support of the resort's brand, community, and customer experience. This position requires the individual work collaboratively within the Marketing and Sales team as well other resort departments, and creative critical thinking is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate, shoot, edit, and share content daily for the resort's social media channels.
Generate, edit, and create a variety of video content from shorter daily videos to long form content to be distributed through resort marketing and communication channels.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute content and strategy with regards to Sugarbush brand commitments and company requests.
Design and execute paid social media campaigns.
Responsible for concepting and executing new ideas that will drive guest engagement with social channels and resort website that translates into skier/rider visits and overnight stays.
Assist in website edits and outbound emails as needed.
Develop and implement a social media editorial calendar. Compile research and develop benchmarking and audience identification to enhance social media strategy.
Support resort sponsorship efforts and brand partner activation goals via all social media platforms.
Build meaningful connections with guests and community members through dialogue and engagement. Gracefully resolve any customer complaints or issues posted on social media, and where appropriate bring in others to support these efforts.
Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographic, and effectiveness. Provide monthly reporting to management to recognize trends, opportunities, and information that could affect future outcomes.
Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately based on company and community policies.
Train teammates and internal stakeholders on the value and process of social media presence.
Support marketing department in other initiatives including events, copywriting, distribution, etc.
Contribute photos and videos for content and media assets for use across all Sugarbush marketing materials including social media, print, email, web development, display, and other outlets as required.
Keep company social media profiles current and up-to-date with respect to strategy, best practices, and trends.
Represent the Sugarbush brand in event marketing scenarios, accurately communicating current products, offers, and resort updates to prospective guests.
Aid in the maintenance of the photo database, ensuring proper organization and timely upload of all Sugarbush owned content.
Maintain a schedule with unconventional availability, including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College with a Relevant Major.
Three years prior experience and background in photography and video required.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Applicant must be proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
Candidate must have a collaborative working style, excellent communications and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a larger team.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills). Working knowledge of the Adobe Suite and Final Cut Pro a big plus.
