OverviewOtter Products is currently hiring for a 3D Artist to join our team. This position can be based in Fort Collins, CO on a hybrid schedule or fully remote in the US.
The 3D Artist applies relevant work experience and understanding to design and render structurally accurate and photo-realistic renders for web, print and packaging and will collaborate and consult with engineers, industrial designers and packaging designers to complete projects. This role, requiring a low to moderate level of supervisory oversight, generates textures for leather and plastic patterns, lighting angles, create new angles that feature product in new ways. Must have solid experience in 3D generalist techniques: modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and compositing.

Create, retouch and perfect eye-catching 3D illustrations, images and animations
Use Adobe Creative Suite, Keyshot, Maya 3D and Autodesk on a daily basis to create and enhance illustrations and imagery
Develop animations to clearly communicate key product features and benefits
Take creative direction and work within established brand guidelines
Collaborate and consult with engineers, industrial designers and packaging designers to provide visualization solutions and to create 3D renderings of products and packagin
Follow brand and design guidelines and specifications in the design process
Perform technical tasks as required, 3D Color Renderings, quick sketches and illustrator or Photoshop requirements
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
Support and maintain a positive safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures and actively contributing to a safe working environment

Qualifications
Minimum of three years of experience in 3D related work required.
Associate degree in relevant field required. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or relevant area of study preferred. Four additional years of work experience in lieu of degree may be accepted.
Experience in product rendering for marketing and advertising purposes is strongly preferred.
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite® and KeyShot, with at least an intermediate understanding of SolidWorks, Maya or other/additional 3D modeling programs preferred.
Strong understanding of 3D lighting and texturing preferred.
Portfolio required.
