Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Python Web Developer to join the Big Data and Advanced Analytics department. As part of the Data Engineering team, the Lead Python Web Developer will work closely with Business domain experts and Data Engineeers to solve real-world oil and gas midstream problems using advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. This individual will provide technical leadership to the team to advance the web development practice within the organization.

Responsibilities include:

Work directly with Data Engineeers to develop high quality and extensible web user interface for use by operationsTake lead on web user interface redesign and refactoring effortsDesign and implement frameworks and tools to streamline development processAutomate manual data collection and processing tasks to improve efficiencyLeverage software architecture and design patterns to develop fault tolerant microservicesImplement processes to ensure coding standards, code quality, documentation, and test coverageQualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:7+ years of programming experience in PythonExpertise in developing and maintaining data pipelinesExperience using Flask or DjangoExperience using Angular, or other Javascript web development frameworksExperience in software engineering practices such as Design Principles and Patterns, Unit Testing, Refactoring, CI/CD, and version controlExpertise in Object-Oriented Design Principals and Functional Programming PrincipalsExperience with common Python Data Engineering packages including Pandas, Numpy, Pyarrow, Pytest, Scikit-Learn, and Boto3Experience in implementing distributed computing systemsExperience in designing modular, reusable software componentsExperience in developing API endpoints and microservices
