Summary:Client is looking for a front-end web development contractor to join the External Payment Services group. You will be responsible for creating HTML/XHTML and CSS for company's next generation payments website. The successful candidate should be experienced working with graphics design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) and converting design mockups to cross browser compatible HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
Primary Responsibilities:
Use design software to create mockups and html prototypes for new featuresBuild/Code static and dynamic pages from these mockups and additional specificationsCreate and manage CSS styles and CSS frameworksEnsure customer-facing new features meet style requirementsCreate code for front-end behaviors with Dynamic HTMLCross-browser test and troubleshoot site presentationDevelop optimized/cross-platform front-end code in CSS/XHTML, and JavaScriptDevelop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and to enable rapid iterative support for usability research.Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and researchers to refine the user experience.A proven portfolio demonstrating the above skills will be required
Knowledge and Experience Required:
4+ years of experience years experience in front-end web developmentBrowser rendering and cross-browser knowledgeExpert with HTML/XHTML at the hand-coding level.Expert in CSS for content styling and layout.Exhibit an understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.JavaScript skill is preferredAble to operate in a Linux environment
Skills and Abilities Required:
Expert with a major design application (Fireworks or Photoshop)Expert XHTML/CSS for cross-browser renderingUser Interface design and diagrammingJavaScript to add behaviors to otherwise static pagesSemantic coding with CSS/XHTML
Compensation:The pay rate range above is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
