Think if The Division had a baby with Eve Online, with a few fun twists!WHAT YOU’LL DOLead Development Efforts: Partner with production and other designers to build roadmaps and sprint goals for metagame features and content, helping drive overall game success.Champion the UI Experience : Ensure a seamless, intuitive, and engaging user interface for the metagame.Drive Metagame Systems : Work with game designers to refine metagame features and systems, from initial concept through specification, implementation, iteration, and completion.Collaborate Closely: Work closely with all departments - Art, Engineering, Design, and Production - to anticipate and address challenges, ensuring that metagame mechanics look and feel great.Advance Metagame Integration: Plan and help implement mechanics, features, and systems that affect overall metagame engagement, long-term player retention, monetization strategies, and overall customer satisfaction.Take Action and Experiment: Make changes directly within the game to fit planned efforts, tweak properties of in-game features, prototype new features, discover unplanned mechanics, and seek buy-in from the team!Market Savvy: Deeply understand metagames in other mobile titles that drive growth and engagement, and apply this knowledge to enhance our game's success.WHAT'S REQUIREDExpertise in C++ and LUA: You have an intrinsic knowledge of these languages and have demonstrated your ability to craft compelling systems and mechanics.UI Skills: Experience with user interface codebases and systems, such as UI Toolkit for Unity or UMG for Unreal, ensuring engaging and intuitive interfaces.Open to the Outside: History or willingness to work with open source game engines or tools.Mobile Game Expertise: Familiarity with mobile game development on iOS or Android, its processes and requirements.Market Insight: Knowledge of metagames in other mobile titles and how they drive player retention and monetization.Passion for Games: Your passion and extensive playing across various genres fuel your creativity and inform your designs.EXTRA CREDITMultiplayer Madness: A love for playing multiplayer shooters, regardless of the platform!Territory Control: Understanding of territory based game design concepts employed on titles such as PlanetSide 2, Foxhole, or Civilization.Agile/Scrum Development: Experience in Agile/Scrum development is a plus.Hands-On Approach: You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and really dig in to make something awesome.
