Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.We're looking for a talented Contract Product Designer to join our team and help us build new contractor-facing products to help serve America’s construction middle market.As a Contract Product Designer at Shepherd, you will be responsible for designing and creating engaging and intuitive user interfaces for our web applications. You will work closely with our product, engineering and customer experience teams to understand user needs, gather feedback, and iterate on designs to ensure a delightful user experience.Responsibilities

Create user-centered designs that align with our product strategy and visionWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define and refine product features and user storiesDesign high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and user interfaces for web and mobile applicationsConduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate on designsDevelop and maintain design systems, style guides, and design patterns for consistent branding and design standardsStay up-to-date with design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the user experienceRequirements

3+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the insurtech or fintech industryStrong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including UX/UI design, design systems, and user researchProficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Proto.ioExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environmentExperience working in a startup or seed-stage company is a plusThis is a part-time contract position, with 20 hours per week. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
