Senior Managing Director, Automotive Content role

:

Power Automedia is seeking a highly experienced Senior Managing Director, Automotive Content to join our passionate and driven team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the execution of our content strategies and maintaining our reputation as a leader in the automotive media and performance enthusiast space. With extensive people and project management experience, you will be instrumental in leading, organizing, and managing our projects and teams, leveraging your expertise to keep the operational gears running smoothly.

As the Senior Managing Director, you will help lead the content team alongside our VP of Content, working with experienced content creators to make a significant impact in the automotive universe. This new role will become the backbone of the department, ensuring content objectives and deadlines are met, calendars are updated, and the flow of content is constant across all channels and platforms, meeting our sales, sponsorship and partnership obligations. Your role as the “train conductor” is crucial in balancing creative freedom with structured project timelines, ensuring that our high standards for content quality are met consistently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing outcomes on project vehicle builds, digital workflows, communication, and updates. You will be the master organizer, ensuring follow-ups and accountability at every stage of project execution. Developing and refining processes, creating milestones and deadlines, regular check-ins, measurement, and accountability will be central to this role. If you love Gantt charts, Kanban, and are a spreadsheet ninja – this position is for you. Your ability to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency will be key to the continued success of our content production.

In this role, you will ensure that all of the Power brands and content verticals operate seamlessly and meet their targets. Your expertise in project management and operations will be critical in holding team members accountable for their contributions, ensuring that each project phase is completed on time and to the highest standard. You will drive key results by setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Your attention to detail and ability to enforce deadlines will ensure that our diverse range of automotive content—spanning digital magazines, video, social media and live events—maintains its renowned quality and consistency.

In addition to your operational and project management responsibilities, you will also play a pivotal role in leading integration of our content and marketing with Power Automedia’s events and merchandise department (www.racingshirts.com). This involves leading and managing the alignment of our editorial and video content with our live events and merchandising, ensuring that our marketing and brand messaging are consistent. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in coordinating with various departments to develop and execute cohesive content strategies that enhance our event experiences and merchandise offerings.
