Director of Financial Development

who will play a key role in supporting the Development team in raising approximately $13M in general operating support and assisting in raising more than $7M for the Ad Councils Public Service Award Dinner annually. The department manages the organizations 150-member Board of Directors and organizes all board member meetings, engagement and events, as well as prospecting for new donors throughout the year. The Director of Development plays an integral role in the Ad Councils fundraising program by managing a portfolio of key corporate donors, cultivating relationships with donors and prospects, working collaboratively to develop campaign partnerships, tracking and reporting fundraising efforts, and coordinating and executing Board events.The compensation for this position is within the range of $100,000 $115,000 annually (based on experience level). The compensation package also includes an annual incentive, comprehensive benefit offerings, and generous paid time off.What you’ll do:Manage a portfolio of 30 – 35 corporate donors, responsible for raising approximately $2.5 million in annual general operating support, plus additional support for the annual dinnerConduct face-to-face donor meetings with Board Members and high-level corporate executives to cultivate relationships and secure supportResearch, identify and solicit new corporate donorsSubmit grant proposals and progress reports when necessaryCoordinate with other departments including communications, finance and campaigns on securing updated information for stewardship reportsInitiate and work closely with campaign teams to facilitate strategic corporate partnershipsAssist with tracking and reporting for all general operating support, pledge and gift processing, and management of data in SalesforceAssist with coordination and execution of Board eventsLead and create power point presentations for Board engagementRepresent department on internal committees and at industry conferencesResearch and create prep documents for prospects and industry eventsAssist when needed in support of campaign funding effortsWhat you bring:5+ years of experience working in a high-performance professional environmentFundraising experience, or a combination of experiences that have a substantial client relationship management and/or business development component including marketing, advertising sales, or traditional and social mediaExceptional interpersonal skills; demonstrated success in developing and maintaining executive-level client or donor relationshipsOutstanding communication skills, both written and spokenExcellent project management track record, strong organizational and follow-up skills, and attention to detailSelf-motivated and goal-orientedThe desire to make work a fun and rewarding experienceWhat you’ll get:All full-time Ad Council employees are eligible for:Full remote work arrangements; Robust and flexible time off; Parental/Caregiver leave; Health days.Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision plans; Health and Flexible Savings benefit; Reimbursement toward health and wellness expenses; Additional insurances for your spouse/children/pets.Participation in the Ad Council 403(b) Retirement Plan with generous annual company contributions.Professional and skill-based development opportunities; Tuition Reimbursement.What were committed to:At the Ad Council, we value and celebrate the unique characteristics and perspectives that make each person who they are.
