A core part of Pabio's value offering is a photorealistic rendered view of the user's apartment. Instead of a traditional e-commerce UI, we offer a catalog-experience where an automatically generated 3D apartment is presented to users. To further develop our core tech we are looking for a Senior 3D Software Developer / Technical Director with a strong background in Blender and 3D architecture. This role requires expertise both as a 3D artist and a programmer. As our 3D Technical Director, you'll be working directly with (not for!) the founders Carlo and Anand , and play an important role in moving the company forward.Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of each step in our 3D rendering pipelineDevelop scripts for automated generation of Blender file templatesDevelop custom Blender add-ons and plugins for automating common tasksGenerate photorealistic apartment renders and design 3D product modelsBe responsible for giving feedback to others to help improve their performance (and be receptive to receiving feedback from others).Requirements
Solid technical understanding of 3D rendering workflows and pipelinesStrong mathematical understand of computer graphicsHighly skilled in Blender (both modeling and rendering)Proficiency in Python and Blender scriptingExperience with building Blender add-onsHave an insane work ethic. You work tirelessly to ship the best product possibleNice to have
Experience with other 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., 3DS Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, etc.)Experience with web-based 3D graphics (e.g., WebGL, three.js, Babylon.js, D3.js, etc.)Why work at Pabio?

Our in-house rendering engine generates photorealistic interior design concepts is built using custom Blender plugins and we use full-stack TypeScript (Next.js + NestJS) on the web, along with keeping up with the latest in the ecosystem (e.g., experiments with Svelte and Deno). We also contribute to open-source (e.g., Upptime with 8.5k+ stars), and co-founder Anand is a GitHub Star .
