Director, Marketing Science

As a Director on our Marketing Science team, you will work in a matrixed environment within the MarSci and MarTech function across Hearts & Science. You will lead the insights and analytics practice related to your specific brand portfolio, partnering with the client service team and category leads in media strategy and investment. At your disposal will be a wide range of advanced analytics and data science resources.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience at a media agency, marketing analytics firm or in a quantitative, data driven field.5+ years of experience working with large client data set portfolios, delivering insight and trend recommendations and strategies2+ years of experience in consumer strategy, insights, or business intelligenceExcellent communication and presentation skills are a mustExcellent strategic thinker who is willing to take risks and challenge the status quoStrong leader who can demonstrate analytic skills, problem solving, and independent decision makingAbility to clearly explain complex ideas to multiple audiences and respond to questionsFamiliarity with marketing technology tools/concepts (e.g. Data Management Platforms, consumer privacy, data tracking), ad-serving (e.g. Google CM360, Innovid), and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)Knowledge and experience with syndicated research sources/tools (e.g. ComScore, Nielsen, GfK MRI, Simmons, etc.)Knowledge and experience with third party CPG data providers (e.g. Circana, NCS, Ibotta, etc.)Experience with marketing mix modeling/econometric analysisExperience with other branches of market research (custom survey research, advertising testing or tracking, new product research, etc.)

Responsibilities

Translate data into clear, compelling, and actionable insights by leveraging advanced analytics tactics conducted by central resourcesCollaborate with marketing and media partners and strategy teams to understand business and marketing objectives and develop measurement approaches to meet those objectivesPresent to clients, with the support of the functional specialists, the results of analyses and research projects in a clear and insightful narrative, digestible by a lay personLead understanding of customer audiences and marketplace behaviors, particularly those that most impact business and marketing goalsWith the leaders of the functional specialty teams, keep track of projects being run by the Functional Specialists to ensure they are done on time and to right level of qualitySupport new business efforts including development of the strategy, creation of the pitch story, and participation in the presentationsEvaluate data and research/analytics vendors for client needs or as they approach clientsWork with third party research/analytics vendors to design and set up projects for clientsAid in the development and execution of the measurement planManage team across business analytics, competitive research, and data operations functions.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$150,000—$170,000 USD
