COLOR is looking for an agency-experienced Executive Producer (EP) for CURATOR, our newest division. The core focus of this role is account management, project execution, and team leadership.

Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below.The EP will work closely with the teams Executive Director to understand client needs and develop proposals that address budget constraints and meet or exceed creative expectations. The EP will lead a team of producers and creatives in executing projects, from scope and concept through successful completion. The EP has experience producing content for marketing channels across a wide range of B2B and B2C media, such as live action video, branded content, and social media assets. A range of experience with workflows in video production, design, 2D/3D animation, and copywriting is key to this role.CURATOR is focused on developing dynamic, story-driven content, rooted in a foundational initiative to seek diversity throughout all stages of the creative development process. Were looking for an EP who will help drive innovative thinking around how we consider advancing our DEI commitment, on a project-by-project basis, considering all stages of production and stakeholder concerns.Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000This role will require occasional evening and weekendsRequirements10 years overall experience in media, or adjacent industry, with a primary focus on project leadership, client-facing communications, account management, and team leadership5 years working as a senior-level, client-facing producer with a creative agency, or creative-agency adjacent5 years experience working specifically in the video production landscapeDeep knowledge of video production landscapes (i.e. studio, location, commercial, corporate, etc.) with an understanding of how to effectively scale for various budgetsSolid grasp of scoping and managing a range of budgets for various project typesExperience scoping and managing high-level project budgets ($500K )Familiarity with video production crew and equipment and an understanding of how to effectively scale based on project needsInternational production management experience a plus5 years experience managing and developing direct reportsA passion for elevating diverse and underrepresented voicesExcellent project management skillsOutstanding communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsMastery in the ability to identify and manage riskMastery in the art of delegationQuick and effective problem-solving skillsWhat You'll DoThe EP is responsible for overseeing teams of producers and is accountable for client satisfaction, project success, and team health. The EP has a solid understanding of each member of their producing team to assign teams most effectively to various project types and client groups.Internally, an EP should have insight into not only the health of a project (timeline, budget, etc.), but also the health of the team working on that project (burnout, conflict, etc.). This role is part of the COLOR leadership team. Core responsibilities include:Account ManagementServes as a client account management lead and escalation point for all assigned projectStays involved throughout project lifecycle, particularly during early stages to help set the producer team up for success and align on expectations with clientsCoaches producers toward good client communications, expectation setting, and client management practicesManages conflicts with clients and drives solutioning when project expectations are not being metParticipates in discovery calls with clients to better understand their needs, goals, budgets, and timelinesProject ExecutionProject LeadershipDelegates projects to producers, based on type and client, for the most successful outcomes in client satisfaction, creative output, and team growthMonitors project health (budget, timeline, client happiness, etc.) and regularly checks in with clients and producers to ensure expectations are being metContinually identifies areas for project improvement, including strategic project and relationship decision making (i.e., taking a lower margin on a project to enhance long term client relationship)Understands project process by type (i.e., familiarity with the steps needed in setting up a live action shoot versus animation project)Directs clients and internal teams in the right direction to optimize for success when not all information is known (comfort operating in the grey areas)Collaborates with producers to creatively problem solve elements of a standard process when conditions are not ideal (i.e., amending project timelines or budgets to meet project needs, while appropriately setting client expectations to do so)Creative LeadershipSpeaks to high-level creative options or capabilities with clients in initial kickoff meetings, or brings the right members of the creative team to participate in those conversationsWorks closely with creative leads and producers to develop creative concepts that align to client goals, budget, timeline, and creative expectationsUnderstands the needs of our clients and advocates for their interests during the project lifecycle (i.e. Reviews V1s with an eye for the clients brand specifications and particular nuances that others on the team may not fully understand.)Team LeadershipManages Producers within their division; training strong management fundamentals, identifying strength and growth areas, and develops career goals in partnership with reportsResponsible for producer team capacity and utilization within their divisionLeads team towards company and division specific valuesCollaborates with Head of Production and other producer leads to determine, train, and drive adherence of producer operational tasks and initiativesParticipates in interpersonal conflict resolutionParticipates in company leadership meetings and initiatives as a part of the Leads teamWorks in close collaboration with Division Heads (i.e., Head of Production, Post, Creative, etc.)BenefitsWhy COLOR?Were nice people, with some seriously great benefits and perks.
