To help HDR elevate design excellence with design leadership and by advancing architectural detailing. This position reports to HDR’s Global Director of Architectural Design.Leadership Responsibilities:Represent and demonstrate design leadership with strengths in architectural detailing and design rigor.Serve as an expert architectural design resource throughout the practice.Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and strategic objectives.Advance design quality and effective processes for high-quality design solutions.Collaborate with global design director to achieve design excellence firmwide.Collaborate with sustainable design experts and contribute to the development of preferred design details library.Contribute towards the research of materials and systems for quality design solutions.Contribute to the provision of new technical data for the firm’s master specification platform.Project Work Contributions:Work with project design teams to achieve excellence in design detailing.Advise and assist project teams with design detailing guidance.Integrate sustainable design practices and promote carbon-neutral solutions.Coordinate with HDR’s digital delivery leaders to ensure incorporation of technical data into project delivery processes.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Architecture.15 years related experience.Registered Architect.Experience on large-scale projects and leading project teams.Experience with Microsoft Office and extensive knowledge within the local and regional market.Strong team leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Willingness to travel and commitment to the employee-owned culture.Preferred QualificationsExpertise using Autodesk Revit and in sustainable design.Experience in building energy modeling, building envelope design, and familiarity with codes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, service-oriented for clients, and commitment to teamwork.LEED accredited professional or equal sustainable design capabilities.Extensive experience in architectural design detailing.Why HDRAt HDR, we value collaboration, employee ownership, and offer growth opportunities.
