Job Summary:

The Sr. UI Software Developer role will focus on high level software development associated with user interface development and underlying architecture, sub systems, and inter-process communications.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

User interface software development in C/C++/QML using QT on Linux and Windows

Medium and high-level software development to support user interface interactions and sub-system communication

Interaction with drone systems to support user interface development and debugging

Python scripts to interact with custom hardware and dev kits

Project technical ownership – design, implementation, and testing

Interaction with multi-disciplined team, including end users of the user-interface

Writing engineering technical documentation – architecture and implementation details, system requirements.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field strongly preferred

5-10 years of experience delivering commercial-grade software for desktop and/or mobile platforms required

Experience with UI development toolkits (QT, Android, IOS, etc.)

Ability to own complex projects – encompassing the full design and test cycle

Able to architect and implement solutions for complex problems involving users interface and lower level interactions

Experience working in a multi-disciplined team environment – problem solving and mentoring

Expertise in QML, QT, C and/or C++ programming on Windows, Android, or iOS

Experience with software security is desired

Experience with robotic systems is desired

Experience with computer vision, iOS, Android, web application development, or safety critical systems is considered an asset.

Experience with software build and deployment systems and processes is also valuable.

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
