Project types may be varied but will focus primarily on DoD (Department of Defense) and Higher Education facilities.Primary Responsibilities:Work and collaborate with the Project Manager, Project Architect and Senior Interior Designer on the interior design and space planning for design projects with a focus on Federal sector work.Meet with sales reps and maintaining our Interiors library.Daily duties will likely include aiding project architect with:

Building finish specifications.Drawings including but not limited to finish schedules, interiors details, floor plans, signage schedules, ceiling plans, etc.Working with and managing data from furniture manufacturers and product reps.Programming and facilitating client interviews.

Assemble Interior Design (ID) packages:

Marking materials and finish selections based on project-specific criteria.Generating interior design narratives for finish conceptsGenerating finish schedules, finish plans, details, and other interior design drawingsAssembling/updating materials presentation boards for submittals to client

Assemble FF&E packages:

Making furniture, accessory and equipment selections based on project-specific criteria and requirements.Work with furniture dealers to evaluate costs and provide a best value determination to the Government.Assembling detailed FF&E packages that include cost data, client/project-specific product data sheets, furniture drawings and FF&E finishes.Assembling furniture plans, panel plans and other appropriate furniture drawings.

Minimum Requirements:NCIDQ certification and graduation from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program required.A minimum of 5 years' experience in Interior Design is required.Drafting experience using Revit (BIM) and/or AutoCAD required.Capability of working directly with clients and prospective clients and adapting to changing project requirements.Experience working with furniture dealers and product reps required.Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe PDF software required.Willingness to travel for field assessments and client meetings, out of state.
