Advertising Account Manager

for their

Clinical and Medical Markets . Reporting to the Sales Director, this individual will collaborate closely with the national sales team to identify growth opportunities, enhance existing relationships, and cultivate new business by promoting advertising solutions across a diverse portfolio of top-tier print and online scientific and medical publications. This role, responsible for overseeing the complete sales cycle and engaging with clients and agencies nationwide, requires a candidate with a robust background in consultative sales and a solutions-focused approach within the advertising space.

Location: This is a hybrid role, with 2 days in their NY office (Additional time may be needed in office throughout the onboarding and training period).

Responsibilities include:

Build client networks to understand their structures and strategiesEstablish relationships with clients and their senior leadership to increase advertisingexpendituresConsult with clients to understand needs to support growth in organic revenueIdentify, develop, and present marketing opportunities to new and existing accountsDrive sales across portfolio of products addressing all levels of client needsNegotiate, refine, and close advertising solutionsEnsure an adequate sales funnel exists to support sales goals for the assigned territoryUnderstand and convey market intelligence to help aid client approach and productdevelopmentWork with internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of services to our customersMaintain a CRM database and other systems and provide reports as requiredOther duties as assignedExperience, Skills and Qualifications:4+ years' experience in advertising sales and success selling online and content solutions (preferably within the Academic/Scientific Publishing space or in the Clinical/Medical markets)Experience identifying and growing new/underdeveloped territoriesResults oriented, competitive and able to rapidly assimilate informationProven ability to understand and effectively communicate with multiple groupsExperience collaborating with both internal team members and external customersExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skillsClear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messagesProficient in Salesforce, G Suite, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Comfortable with travel (approximately 20%)Benefits:
