Our pipeline is promising with several Phase 3 assets in the Oncology space.Role SummaryThe Director, Product and Pipeline Communications will support the Servier Pharmaceuticals Oncology product and pipeline communication strategy with the aim of educating on the promise of Sevier’s portfolio, the potential of its pipeline and by extension enhancing the image, reputation and awareness of Servier in the U.S.They will direct the creation and implementation of strategies across internal and external communications channels and vehicles with the support of a Boston based team. Furthermore, this position will ensure consistent messaging internally and externally to achieve overall Global Company objectives.This role reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs and interacts with many external parties, including KOLs, current and potential partners.Primary ResponsibilitiesLeads the development and implementation of strategic communication plans for Oncology products and pipeline which includes programming and strategic planning for pre-launch and launch products, inclusive of disease-awareness campaigns - that reflects the organization’s business objectivesResponsible for ensuring differentiation of Servier’s Oncology initiativesDevelops and implements a strong, positive news flow – including digital, print and socialManage budget, programs, consultants, deliverables & measurementWorks closely with Marketing, Medical, Sales and Patient Engagement to secure an integrated approachLeverage the support from other key departments of the Global Communications and Public Affairs organizationsLead and be responsible for communication activities when issues and/or crises ariseEducation and Required Skills10+ years of professional experience driving communication strategiesHealthcare product and pipeline experience. Robust experience in driving communications at mid-size global company preferredComprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with companies working across geographies; solid understanding of corporate governanceStrong academic background in communications/business/ journalismStrategic business partner with the ability to translate business information as well as R&D processes/activities into language that employees and customers can understandAbility to effectively and concisely deliver information, and explain, advocate and negotiate positions and issues to a broad spectrum of individuals requiredStrong experience within the pharmaceutical sector, especially in Biotech Companies, ideally in the field of oncologySolid understanding on the regulatory restrictions of biopharmaceuticals promotionWell balanced competencies between strategic and operational matters; experience in advising senior executives and working on strategic topics and issues managementTeam leader and team player, interfacing smoothly with communication colleagues – able to work in a complex and fast pace matrix organizationProficiency in English (both written and spoken) with outstanding writing and presentation skillsUnderstanding and good command of digitalization of communicationsAt ease in multi-tasking with high degree of quality and fast deliveryTravel and LocationBoston based hybrid position requires in office presence 2-3 days a weekServier’s CommitmentServier is committed to modeling diversity, equity, and inclusion within the industry.
