Position Overview

As a Senior UX Designer, you will collaborate with your Product Management and Engineering partners to support our Bidding and Risk Management products in the Autodesk Construction Cloud ecosystem. You will help shape the tools that enable our customers to efficiently and safely build the world around us. We're looking for someone who brings human-centered design, will advocate for user needs, and can design strategically in complex problem spaces to deliver compelling user experiences. You will report to the User Experience Manager for Autodesk Construction Solutions.

Preference for candidates in Portland, Oregon, Atlanta, Georgia or Toronto, Canada in hybrid/remote or remote environment.

Responsibilities

Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementationVisualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specificationsCollaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer valueUse customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisionsHelp to facilitate and participate in user research, such as interviews and usability testing, to validate designs and make iterative improvementsParticipate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challengesDevelop empathy for customers and advocate for their needs

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of related professional experienceQuality portfolio of recent workDistill complex ideas to their essenceDemonstrated experience utilizing a variety of human-centered design methods and best practicesExperience using research and data to inform design decisions, and comfortable defining performance metrics to measure resultsExperience leading user research and familiarity with multiple methodsPartner frequently with multiple partnersSystems thinking – explore how different parts of a complex system fit together

Preferred Qualifications

BA/BS or graduate degree in HCI, interaction design, or equivalent experienceExperience with Agile software design methodsExperience supporting a complex ecosystem with multiple productsComfortable working on a distributed team and collaborating remotely

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $106,500 and $183,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
