PrideStaff San Diego is working with our client, based in San Diego, who is a full-service design firm that focuses on corporate office projects,

commercial building

re-imaging, healthcare environments and multi-family design. Our client is growing and they are looking to expand their team of creative and thoughtful designers. We are looking for you who has at least 3 years professional interior design experience in the commercial building industry.

The annual salary depends on experience and it pays up to $85K.

Overview and Responsibilities:

They offer excellent training and growth potential!Interior design programming, space planning and concept development.Develop design concepts in collaboration with team members, and prepare presentation documents.Prepare construction documents based on performance criteria incorporating commercial building codes, accessibility guidelines and established building standards.Support the project process including MEP consultant coordination and permit processingProcess submittals, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs and other construction documentation during the contact administration phase.Support multiple project and project timelines concurrently.Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and business associates.Prepare specifications and collaborate with outside consultants and vendors.Work in partnership with the project team to provide continuity and consistent support through each phase to complete projects on time and on budget.Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years recent professional design experienceExperience in commercial building industry is requiredDesign talent combined with technical capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills including English grammar and spellingPositive attitude, excellent work ethic, desire to learnBachelor or Associates Degree in Interior DesignValid driver's license and insured vehicle as local travel is necessaryAdditional Abilities:

Solid abilities are required in AutoCAD or Revit, Word, Excel, Outlook and PhotoshopExperience with Vectorworks, Sketch-Up, Photoshop or InDesign is desiredAbility to sketch scaled space plans, elevations and design elements by hand when neededGeneral understanding of building codesAbility to research materials, sources, images to support design concepts and other design related topics independentlyAn aptitude and desire to learn other design programs and marketsCapable of leading a project team or learning to manage a project from start to completionStrong presentation capabilities
