Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Specialist will schedule and manage content across all digital marketing platforms as well as track relevant analytics to help the Philanthropy team optimize its multi-channel campaigns. This role requires both strong creative design skills and an understanding of digital marketing tools and strategies.

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a member of Insight Housing's Philanthropy team, which promotes the work of the organization through branding, messaging, and fundraising campaigns and efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media (35%)

Actively manage the organization's social media accounts, ensuring content is current and relevant to Insight Housing audiences.Apply knowledge about current events and social media platform algorithms and trends to increase responsiveness toward calls-to-action.Track social media metrics and link their analyses to philanthropy team goals.Content (35%)

Work with program staff to gather day-to-day stories and successes from program participants and staff.Coordinate sessions with photographers, videographers, and staff to build the content library.Implement a digital asset management system.Email Marketing (10%)

Execute email marketing campaigns with a focus on visual design.Implement strategies to increase open rates and number of subscribers.Monitor analytics and make iterative improvements.Website (10%)

Proactively update the website with organizational news, events, job postings, photos, and other relevant content.Manage website pop-ups and calls-to-action to align with organizational and philanthropic goals.Measure web analytics to optimize content, traffic and site performanceAdvertising (5%)

Implement a basic and cost-effective digital advertising strategy.Maintain a monthly report to assess effectiveness of paid advertising efforts.General:

Assist with the graphic design and review of direct mail, annual reports, and other philanthropy team marketing collateral.Manage marketing and communications vendor contracts.Drive own or agency vehicle to various sites as required; documenting and reporting mileage according to agency procedures, so that services can be provided in a timely manner; comply with agency driving policy at all times.Participate in promoting a safe, healthy, and clean working environment consistent with agency's health and safety practices.Attend and participate in all meetings and trainings as assigned.Complete and submit timesheets in a timely and accurate manner.Work within the framework of Insight Housing's Code of Conduct.Perform other tasks as assigned.Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.2-3 years' experience in digital marketing or a related field.Commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness, alcohol and drug dependency, and other mental health issues and to trauma-informed approach to care of individuals.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite or Canva. Expertise in HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta products. Working knowledge of Salesforce.Excellent project management skills; ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.Ability to interact in a supportive and professional manner with staff and clients of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.Ability to provide good customer service.Capable of working independently and as part of a team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills with a can do and flexible attitude.Ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries, and meet deadlines.Ability to maintain professional conduct, attitude, and appearance at all times.Special Requirements

This position requires occasional driving. A valid California driver license, reliable personal vehicle, current personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies.Must be able to receive and maintain criminal records clearance.Physical Requirements

Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, talk, hear, and see clearly.May be occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.May be required to lift or move up to 10 lbs.

Compensation: $31.25-$40.86/hour DOEE
