Position Summary:The Marketing Manager is responsible for providing direction, guidance, and leadership to the marketing department. This role is an integral part of the overall growth plan for Satellite Shelters, Inc. and will lead strategic efforts to develop, implement, track, and optimize marketing initiatives across a wide array of channels including print and digital advertising, email campaigns, sales promotions, tradeshows and events, vendor partnerships, website management, etc. This position is also responsible for the processes, tools, and technologies that support the sales team, and actively manages and drives efficiencies in the sales process as well as the supporting systems to improve the user experience.Key responsibilities include developing and driving Satellite’s overall brand strategy, developing and managing the annual marketing budget, and identifying and executing on revenue opportunities to grow our target market share.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives in order to build brand awareness and positioning in the marketDevelop company’s marketing strategy including planning, directing, and allocating resourcesDrive strategies, governance, best practices, and marketing guidelines company-wideSet growth and performance benchmarks, establish analytics to evaluate key performance criteria, and maintain reporting and tracking of all campaignsIdentify short and long-term budget and resource needs including the development and ongoing management of an annual marketing budget.Oversee and grow the marketing department, consistently identifying opportunities within our established client base and growing target market share to secure new accountsConduct market and competitor research to keep abreast of trends, movements, and current marketing practicesDevelop and maintain strategic partnerships with 3rd party providers to guarantee advantageous contracts and the support of the overall company directionParticipate in the development of the customer journey to ensure branding and user experience is consistent across all touchpoints including the digital experience as well as the prospect to customer life cycle and customer relationship programsMap customer journeys by analyzing touch points along a pipeline and maximizing commercial opportunities with this information.Monitor and maximize customer lifetime value strategies ensuring maximum profitabilityOther duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities:This position manages and leads employees of the marketing department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the department.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field preferredA minimum of 8 years of Marketing experience in a B2B environmentStrategic leader with the ability to build, manage, and motivate a marketing teamUnderstanding of budgets and financial practices including expenditure monitoring, ROI calculations, P&L projections, forecasting, etc.Strong understanding of SEO, PPC, website management, and marketing analytics toolsRequired Skills and Competencies:Project management skills with a high degree of attention to detailEffective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and shift focus quicklyStrong marketing operational and analytical, creative, and problem-solving skillsProfessional and proactive worth ethicExcellent interpersonal, customer service, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong drive for results and ROI mindedProficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and OutlookPhysical and Mental Demands:This position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. Position is largely sedentary; however, some filing is required. The ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, sit, or stand is necessary.
